Chapter 2 - First Day...

The late night did not help that morning, I found it extremely difficult to get out of bed at 5am.

 I wore something appropriate, yet sophisticated and tied my hair back, I liked it!

I brushed my teeth,

 and gussied up before I was finally presentable.

After grabbing a bowl of cereal, I grabbed my bag.

 I'd decided to walk to school, avoiding the bus. Plus, it wasn't that far.

 Arriving at school, there were already a group of people there. I recognized a few people among them, they lived in my street.

I had had a good day and I'd made friends with two girls I had classes with,

 Loren

 and Latischa.
Loren lived across the street and Latischa lived next door, they were nice.

Tiredly, I walked back home.

 I sat on my bed to read a textbook, but fell asleep, I was exhausted!

 It was 6:30pm when I woke up again. Mom and Dad were still at work, so I attempted to cook my dinner, settling with salad; I did not want to end up setting the house on fire!

 When mom returned home, I noticed that she'd dyed her hair back to her natural colour, and hadn't straightened it into her usual cropped bob. Something wasn't right.

 I thought about it whilst writing a chapter of my book, before passing out in bed.
